A lifelong and passionate angler, Destin didn’t begin fishing tournaments until late in college after a serious knee injury playing football. Growing up he fished for anything that swam with his grandfather, who took up fishing in his retirement.
Destin started fishing tournaments as a co-angler. He traveled regionally, then nationally learning from great anglers across every series. Two years after taking up tournament fishing he won the BASS Northern Opens – Co-Angler points title (AOY) and finished 3rd in the Southern Opens.
Destin then began fishing the Opens on the pro side and finished 8th overall in AOY his first season. He ultimately made the Elite Series in 2019 after finishing 2nd in AOY. He had some high points in the last two seasons on the Bassmaster Elite Series with a couple top 10s (Santee Cooper and Lake Champlain) while still growing and learning more each season.
Destin is a proud father of a 2 year old daughter, Eva, and husband to his wife Meghan, whom he met in college. They reside in Harborcreek, PA, right by the trophy smalllmouth factory, Lake Erie.
